My Very Own Mr. Joseph Ryan Price aka JRP

1. Where did you meet?On Center Street in Provo. I was on a date and ran out of gas. My trusty home teacher Bill came with gas, and his friend/mission companion. Aren't we glad for home teachers? and mission companions?

2. How long did you date before you were married? One year and one month. If you subtract the break up in the middle, ten months, but I don't subtract, because JRP occasionally kissed me and we still hung out during that time.

3. How long have you been married? SIX years and one month. I love saying that. I feel like we are official now, not honeymooners, but still lots of love.

4. What does he do that surprises you? He is an awesome cook and he doesn't mind cooking when I have had a long day. Okay, lets be honest. He cooks everyday. But it still suprises me that he does this, even after six years. Also, he always gives thoughtful gifts. He thinks about them for a while and consults my sisters, and then goes for it. I love that he works at trying to make me happy. It makes me feel special.

5. What's your favorite feature about him? His eyes. They are green sometimes, gray sometimes, they are gray green blue. I try to make him buy shirts that match his eyes because I think they are so cool.

6. What's your favorite quality about him? He is very patient. With a wife that is constantly late and rarely has the house clean and dinner made. With a wife that works a stressful job. (he listens to me vent) with a wife that forgets to change the laundry over. With kids that I swear spill more than any other kids on the planet and probably poop more than any other kids on the planet too.

7. Does he have a nickname for you? What is it? Well, back in the day it was punkincita, but lately, no, just honey, sometimes. I hate baby or babe, I develope a tick when I hear couples calling each other baby, so he stears clear of those. Oh, I lied, he calls me Andicakes sometimes too.

8. What's his favorite color? BYU blue or Broncos Blue and Orange... really... I think it is blue and green

9. What's his favorite food? This is a very frustrating question for me... mostly because I ask JRP this often and the reply I get is... I pretty much like everything. And let me tell you folks, its true. He will try anything, and his only real dislikes are frozen peas, and tuna casserole. He often chooses steak, meatloaf, seafood when we are out, so I would say these are his favorites, but I have yet to pin him down.

10. What's his favorite sport? To play, volleyball, by far, and he is really really good. I am not...good at volleyball, that is... and he rarely finds people to play with, but he never gets rusty. To watch, definitely football. The Denver Broncos and the BYU Cougars pretty much come to live at our house every fall. He is always a little sad when football season ends. I am not... sad it ends, that is.

11. Who said "I love you" first? I don't remember, but I remember when he said I love you to me for the first time. He thought I was sleeping (I wasn't) and he whispered it and kissed my forehead, and then went on playing with my hair. What a guy. I still like thinking about that.

12. When and where was your first kiss? On my couch in the swanky...yeah... not swanky, Old Mill Apartments. While we were watching Dante's Peak. It was The first week of October. I kept the calender page where I wrote it on the day, the actual date escapes me at the moment.

13. What are your favorite things to do as a couple? We are the laziest TV watchinest couple ever. We love to watch tv and critique it together. Ryan does an amazing Horatio Caine from CSI Miami impression. We both hate that guy and his stupid one liners. "Oh.........But.......I will......you can count.....on that. Uggh. We also like to go the movies and go out to eat. Our favorite, but not most often thing is to travel together. We road tripped to Colorado and Indiana often when we didnt have kids, and on our two year anniversary we went to London for a week, and on our six year anniversary we went to Hawaii for a week. With lots of kid traveling to Disneyland and Disney World in between. We like hanging out in airports and staying in hotels. Love it. JRP is an adventuring man. I love that about him.

14. Do you have kids? How many?Yes... Caden 4.7 years old, Kenna 3 years old, and Cohen 1.7 years old.
15. What's a hidden talent that he has? He is a really good singer. I love it listening to him sing and singing with him. He insists that he doesn't, but believe me when I tell you I have a very discerning ear. He does. He also throws a mean frisbee and is consistantly winning his pick ems league in fantasy football. Its a good thing we don't gamble or I would be tempted to have him pick em for me.

16. How old is he? 30.5 years old

17.What's his favorite type of music? He is extremely ecclectic. I could not begin to describe the many genres he listens to and enjoys. His only true dislike is country, but he will even listen to that if I insist upon it. He has a 160 gig ipod and it is loaded.

18. What do you admire most about him? What an exceptional partner he is. He does more than his part. Always, in every area. He does more dishes, more laundry, more cooking. He is an amazing dad. I don't ever have to ask him to watch the kids, or change diapers or play with them or cuddle with them. He is really funny. Even when he doesn't mean to be. People are drawn to him because he is funny and sarcastic, and just really nice.

19. What's his favorite past time? Watching football, movies, Playing Xbox, Traveling, Adventuring.

20. Do you think he's going to read this?If I tell him I did a whole blog about him. Probably.
